Discover a magical community Christmas in Prospect event this Saturday 9th December 2023!
This year we are celebrating our BIGGEST Christmas in Prospect community event to date!
So whether you have been naughty or nice, come down to Prospect Road and say hello to Santa and join the festivities!
It will be an evening of carols sung by our locals, live music by Aaron Thomas, free Christmas craft decorating activities with Prospect Lions Club, face painting, henna, Christmas Glitter Angels by Calamity Tash, gift wrapping and a chance to sit, relax and indulge in mouth watering food from the diverse cultures in our community, and enjoy a drink or two!
It will also includes a spectacular arrival by Santa to Prospect Road accompanied by Lucy Hood MP & charity motorcyclists Brothers Ink & CRAB Cancer Charity Riders, and we are thrilled to be welcoming once again our Premier Peter Malinauskas as our special guest. And with our Prospect Councillors, will officially light up our beautiful 12ft Christmas tree!
Santa's little helpers will be busy Elves throughout the evening handing out treats to the children too. Christmas Gift Markets featuring PLEG (Prospect Local Eco Group) from 3-8 AND of course see Santa for free from 4-8. He can't wait to see you!

TWILIGHT CHRISTMAS GIFT MARKETS
Our Christmas Gift Market stalls for the eveningthoughout Prospect Town hall in the evening of Saturday 9th December. Our Community Group is kicking off the day early at 3pm to 9pm within the hall, with stalls supporting local small businesses, community groups, artists and charity groups.
Discover more stalls along Vine Street and through to the Olive Street at the event, a great chance for an evening wander, sampling handmade products, as well as smelling and tasting wonderful local foods. From handcrafted products, local food, delicious baked treats, craft gin/beer, bespoke jewellery, art and homewares, there's a chance you'll find a perfect Christmas gift for your loved ones.
Gift wrapping will be available for a gold coin donation supporting our non profit, charity community groups.

To make this event a success, a Traffic Management Plan has been implemented to address safe access for the community Christmas event.

Our Christmas in Prospect event is our most generous, voluntary and non profit contribution to the Prospect community since 2017, receiving recognition with an award for the "Community event of the Year" in 2023. It is with great pleasure to witness this wonderful event grow immensely over the years with the support of Prospect Traders, and many of our local families within the community.
We are thrilled that we have an opportunity to return and present to our community a Street Party along Prospect road, however, for this project to move forward we need your help to raise 10K.
